SONIC RELIEF!!
It’s a drag getting old, no matter how old you are!!!!!!
Especially when the exhilaration of sports and other activities that many of us expect to be part of our normal, healthy lifestyle turn into a nightmare of aggravation the day after when joint and muscle stiffness settle in. Although most of us live with some sort of pain, whether from arthritis or a general grinding wear and tear, no one likes it! But if there’s one thing that I’ve learned over the years, it’s this: nothing ever gets better on its own. Instead of feeling beaten up, it’s up to us to be proactive with our well being, to take care of ourselves and take the steps necessary so we can keep doing the things we love!!
One reason for not taking care of myself the way that I should has to do with convenience: I’m lazy! Lazy in the sense that I can’t be bothered planning a weekly session at a physiotherapy clinic because I hate arranging appointments around someone else’s schedule.
If this sounds familiar (I know I’m not the only one!!!) I have great news!!! I’ve found a product that really works to relieve my pain and reduce the swelling in my knee caused by arthritis and compounded by exercise. It’s called “Sonic Relief” and it’s a portable ultrasound unit that I can use in my own home. Best of all, I can use it at my own convenience!!
Ultrasound itself is not new. In fact doctors, hospitals, physiotherapists and clinics around the world have confidently used ultrasound in the therapeutic management of pain for over 60 years. However, only recently has evidence of its favorable biophysical effects begun to accrue.
Ultrasound is really just sound waves that vibrate at a very high frequency, above 20 thousand vibrations per second, which is the upper threshold of detection for the human ear. Medical science often utilizes various types of energy such as light and heat to induce positive healing effects in the body. Each unique type of energy is absorbed and utilized by the body in its own specific way.
Ultrasound’s energy has been scientifically shown to reduce inflammation, accelerate tissue healing, promote faster injury recovery and reduce pain by increasing metabolism. Ultrasound treatments will not only increase the rate of healing, but more importantly, the quality of healing by increasing the strength of repairing tendons and ligaments which makes it ideal for recovering athletes!! Also for people suffering from arthritis or any form of tendonitis or bursitis. The reduction of inflammation helps to increase the range of motion of stiff joints and reduces muscle tension associated with arthritic conditions. And because of its unique ability to penetrate tissues 5 – 8 cm deep, the positive tissue regenerating properties of ultrasound makes it the treatment of choice for most types of muscle and joint pain.
Since finding Sonic Relief two months ago, I’ve been treating myself with just two five minute sessions daily, one in the morning and one before going to bed. I still can’t believe how easy it is and good it feels! I’m totally satisfied and that’s why I’m recommending to you right now. For more information on Sonic Relief, visit the Sonic Relief website at sonicrelief.ca or call them at 705–443–8010. That’s right - the company is actually right here in Collingwood!!! Try it, and then tell a friend!!
I’ll see you on the hills this winter!!”
